A Specialised Design

Mitel wanted to create a new Product Demonstration Suite facility in their London base, they also wanted to upgrade the reception and entrance hallway which leads on to the Demo Suite. A furniture upgrade was also a requirement in all the meeting rooms.

Kinetic were engaged to come up with a design for the Demo Suite that focused their clients on communications products on the main desk whilst also being able to see 3 large 80” TV screens as the main presentation tool.

The Suite also incorporated a higher-level viewing point at a bar set back from main desk, plus a media wall unit with single TV monitor with interactive bench surface, plus a soft seat area to discuss products thereafter.

These unique design aspects were emphasised by bespoke elliptical flooring and ceiling shapes to distinguish the different areas.  Lighting was inset into these ceiling bulkheads to illuminate the bespoke furniture from above, and strip lighting was integrated into the underside of the furniture to give the whole space a futuristic, cutting edge feel.  All bespoke furniture was specifically designed to work well with the technology being exhibited.

Every aspect of this design connoted futurism.  Soft furnishings were upholstered in white or cream leather, the furniture was in white laminate and chrome.  Automatic blinds, media and lighting was all controlled via a podium controlled by whoever was leading the demonstration.  These features served to show clients that Mitel was on the cutting edge of their field.
